Haven’t updated this in a while, been a bit busy with everything going on recently. I just wanted to update everyone on the Danny Brown x Bodega Bamz tour.
Friday night we took off from NYC to Northampton, MA to catch up with Bamz and the rest of the Tanboys who were already on the road. When we pulled up the line was halfway down the block, always a good sign. The venue was called Pearl Street, it kinda looked like some sort of old church which was kind of dope.
I ran into Dart Parker (Shady Records A&R and Danny Brown’s manager) backstage, which was dope because I’ve done events with him in Philly recently. We chatted for a few moments and I let him continue on his way. Running into people in other cities is the best way to see who is really out here puttin in work.
As we waited for Bamz to go on stage, Danny Brown walked in our green room and dapped every single person. He had on a crazy outfit and colorful hair, but it was refreshing to see someone not giving a fuck about what people thought. He’s definitely a cool guy, I didn’t really know what to expect being that I had never met him before.
This show was probably one of Bodega Bamz best. His brother Ohla was playing hypeman and it worked perfect. Even though Ohla doesn’t rap, they reminded me of the energy Meth & Redman had back in the day. There was stage diving, water being sprayed everywhere, and a bunch of other wild shit I unfortunately didn’t get on camera because I left it in the van like an idiot.
Anyway, just wanted to share some flicks…sorry for the shitty quality, all I had was my iPhone. I’ll update tonight after our sold out NYC show #100KeepIt
Me and @PBtheProducer had the chance to compete in Beast of the Beats VI last year. Over 80 producers from all over the country, 3 day event full of lectures at SAE, studio sessions, and we even got to pick the brains of folks like Ryan Leslie, Cardiak, illmind, S1, JUSTICE League, etc. Here’s some of the footage of us on stage.
